G E R R I T SPAANDER born 5 November 1919 in Midwoud (Oostwoud), died 27 March 2000 in
Deventer. Gerrit is one of the Spaanders who gathered the information contained in this family book.
He studied in Wageningen and worked for the Ministry of Agriculture, first as a dairy specialist and after the war in the country service in various functions. He became a juridical instructor for many branches of the Ministry of Agriculture, taught normal and economic criminal law and as he was involved with the training of many public servants, he moved around quite a lot, living in various places. He became a
high-official and was in charge of the re-organization of the statutory regulations.

NANNIE VAN LEEUWEN born 6 April 1923 in Amsterdam, died 18 May 1989 in Hengelo. She was the daughter of Wilhelmus VAN LEEUWEN and Theodora Hendrika HEIDMAN.

1 INEKE VOKELTJE THEODORA born 24 October 1944 in Amsterdam. She is a candidate for a
degree in Art History, finished her studies with "Abstracte Kunst in Nederland van 1910 tot 1925". She was the Curator of the museum 'Het Prinsenhof' in Delft and from January 1989 till 2001 Directress of the 'Zeeuws Museum' in Middelburg.
