G E R R I T SPAANDER born 18 August 1775 in Abbekerk, baptized 20 August 1775, died
9 September 1847 in Abbekerk. He was a contractor of dike works, Magistrate and Receiver of rates of Abbekerk, as well as Secretary of 'De Vier Noorder Koggen'. He was a humorous man and usually dressed rather shabbily. At one time, when he was inspecting the operations of a dike at Lambertschaag for which he was responsible, he attracted the attention of two mounted policeman. They bound him to the tail of one of the horses to be brought before the Magistrate. When they reached the town hall, the law enforcers were rather shocked to find that they had arrested the Magistrate himself.
In Abbekerk on 7 May 1797 he wed TRIJNTJE SPANJAARD(T) baptized 15 September 1776, died
14 March 1852 in Abbekerk. She was the daughter of Arien SPANJAART and Jantje LANGEDIJK.

JAN ZIJP born 18 February 1800 in Wognum, died 3 February 1860 in Wognum. He was a wood
merchant and a farmer in Wognum, the son of Cornelis ZIJP and Jannetje ZEIJLEMAKER.

JAN WINKEL born 21 July 1803 in Hoogwoud, baptized 26 July 1803 and died 7 August 1868 in Hoogwoud. He was a farmer at 'de Gouw' and the son of Cornelis WINKEL and Guurtje KOORN.

7 GEERTJE born 12 November 1805 in Abbekerk, baptized 17 November 1805 and died
27 November 1871 in Zwaag. In Sijbekarspel on 26 August 1827 she wed
KLAAS WINKEL born 20 November 1794(5) and died 3 June 1831 in Sijbekarspel. He was the
widower of Grietje STAPEL born 1 December 1795, daughter of Simon STAPEL and Niesje HOUTER, and already had seven children by Grietje, viz. 08-12-1815 Trijntje, 20-02-1817 Simon, 09-05-1818
Niesje, 09-12-1819 Niesje, 05-10-1821 Klaas, 10-11-1823 Reyer and 05-05-1825 Reyer, of whom there were four still living. Klaas was the son of Klaas WINKEL and W SCHOUT (Trijntje PEREBOOM) uit Sijbekarspel.
In Venhuizen on 9 (5) June 1833 Geertje wed again, this time with
DIRK PIJL (PEIJL) born 6 April 1799 in Venhuizen, baptized 14 April 1799 and died 31 October 1836 in Venhuizen.He was the widower of Grietje KOSTER and the son of Pieter PEYL and Aafje BRAK
In Zwaag on 23 September 1838 Geertje wed again
JAN KOORN born 22 December 1805 in Aartswoud, baptized 29 December 1805 and died
25 February 1865 in Zwaag. He was the son of Arien KOORN and Grietje BAALMAN.

KLAAS ZILVER (SILVER) born 11 February 1808, baptised 21 February 1808 in Grootebroek. He was the son of Pieter ZILVER and Aagje PEEREBOOM.
Grietje and Klaas separated on 18 February 1846.
In Abbekerk on 21 March 1847 Grietje wed
JAN KLOMP born 24 April 1811 in Venhuizen, baptized 2 May 1811 and died 19 March 1871 in Heerhugowaard. He was the son of Arie KLOMP and Reinouwtje MAARS. For children: see page 76.
