G E R R I T SPAANDER baptized 31 October 1723 in Barsingerhorn, died 10 (13) November 1802 in Beets. He was a merchant and a cattle farmer in Barsingerhorn and Medemblik. In 1750 he was a
Sergeant in the 'Witte Vaandel' of the militia. In 1756 and 1773 he was a deacon, in 1766 a verger and in 1777 and 1779 an elder.
In Beets on 10 May 1750 he wed
LEYSEBET (LEIJSABET) DE BOER baptized 6 December 1722. She was the daughter of Claas (Claes) DE BOER and Neeltje REYERSDR.
