L E E N D E R T  SPAANDER  born 24 November 1922 in Krommeniedijk. Three days after the dikes burst in February 1953 of the islands in the provinces South Holland and Zealand, a number of men from Krommenie went with three trailers each with two praams to the area, the 'praamgang', to see whether they could be of any help.  Leendert was one of the volunteers.
      On 28 August 1946 he wed
        JANNETJE VOLGER  born 4 April 1924 in Wormerveer, died 20 April 2005 in Alkmaar. She was the daughter of Klaas VOLGER and  Maria Johanna BRUIN.
