A D R I A A N SPAANDER born 5 May 1860 in Jisp, where he was a carpenter, died 9 October 1934 in Wormerveer. He moved to De Wijde Wormer on 15 April 1884, was a greengrocer in Wormerveer and a fisherman in Wormer. For many years he was an elder in the Reformed Church and the
sometimes rowdy youth on the balcony in the church had great respect for his big hands !
On 21 October 1883 he wed
NEELTJE ROOS born 28 July 1862 in Jisp, died 29 October 1943 in Wormerveer. She was a
handsome woman and the daughter of the bartender Jan ROOS and Cornelia EEKHOUT.
The (very) Reformed Spaander family had some difficulty in admitting the daughter of a publican into their circle !
At the time Adriaan and Neeltje were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary, they had 69 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren (13 + 54 + 2). At the time Neeltje died in 1943 that number had
increased to 94 (13 + 54 + 27).

CORNELIS BAARTSE born 5 September 1880 in Krommeniedijk. He was a merchant and also sold bread from a cart. He was the son of Cornelis BAARTSE and Antje KOLF.

JOHANNES MARTINUS MULDER of Zierikzee, born 8 July 1886, died 6 October 1947 in
Zaandam. He was Principal Clerk with the Board of Labour and the son of David MULDER and Sara Josina SCHELE. For children see page 32.

JACOB POT of Krommenie, born 18 February 1889, died 1 September 1963. He was the son of

WILLEM ANDREA of Wormerveer, born 22 April 1893. He was a grocer and night watchman and the son of Dirk ANDREA and Adriana TEN BROEK.

10 JOHANNES HENDRIK born 27 July 1898 in Wormerveer. He was a wholesale greengrocer.

YMKJEN GROENHOF of Zaandam, born 27 January 1900, daughter of Jacob GROENHOF and
Antje YNTEMA.
11 BOUKJE born 18 November 1899 in Wormerveer. On 24 January 1923 she wed
JOANNES GERARDUS VERSNEL of Wormerveer, born 29 December 1898. He was a wholesale greengrocer and the son of Leonardus Wilhelmus VERSNEL and Elsje BRUGMAN.

On 25 April 1945, separated, Nicolaas wed
FRANSISKA WILHELMINA MARIA VAN DE GRINT of 'sHertogenbosch, born 26 August 1921,
daughter of Henricus Arnoldus Alphonsus VAN DE GRINT and Maria Adriana VAN DE BOOM.
