J A N SPAENDER born in 1586 in Wormer, died 1659 in Wormer. Jan was a ships carpenter and a provision dealer in wares, such as comestibles, beer, etc. He was also called 'Groot (Big) Jan' and signed as 'Jan Pieterson old Ian', this to distinguish him from his younger brother Jan, who signed with 'Jan Pieterson young Ian'.

various notary acts also called Willemijntge, Willemtgen, Willemijntgen, Willemyntgen, Willemina !!
BEHAGELS (BEHAGES), born 11 (17) May 1578, died 18 April 1639 and buried in the Dutch Reformed church in Wormer.
