*) In the church at De Rijp in N-Holland is a stained glass window that in 1655 was sponsored by the ship owners of De Rijp. The picture in the window portrays the herring fleet, accompanied by a man-of-war, fishing near the English coast. In this window is also the mural crown of Enkhuizen, as well as 38 hallmarks ('huismerken' refer to page 5), one of which belongs to GIJSBERT HENDRICKS and is the same as the hallmark in our coat of arms.
